Event: Celebrate the Athelstan 1100 Pilgrim Way Walk and Cycle 2025

You are invited to join the Mayor of Malmesbury to celebrate the Athelstan 1100 Pilgrim Walk and Cycle 2025. 

This summer the Mayor of Malmesbury, Cllr Stephen James, and fellow walkers and cyclists completed the Athelstan 1100 Pilgrim Way Walk and Cycle from Malmesbury to Kingston upon Thames. You may have seen the pictures, caught the reports on the BBC or heard about it from family and friends.  

To celebrate Stephen would like to invite you to a very special event at Malmesbury Abbey. 

It is a chance to

•       Hear Stephen’s stories from along the way…with support from fellow walkers

•       See pictures and mementos

•       Share the cyclists experience on their two days to Kingston …

•       Discover secrets of Malmesbury Abbey with a guide

•       Meet walkers, cyclists, volunteers and special guests

•       Be the first to hear about our plans for the Athelstan 1100 Pilgrim Way AND Athelstan 1100 2027!

Tickets include a glass of wine or soft drink and cake. Family and friends welcome! All the funds raised will go to the Mayor of Malmesbury’s Charity Appeal.
