Take Part in the Athelstan 1100 Abbey Theatre Event!

Calling all wannabe actors! Malmesbury is gearing up for a summer of celebrations to commemorate the first king of England – Athelstan 1100.

One of these events is 'A United Kingdom', a play with music and song, telling Athelstan’s life story. This will be performed in Malmesbury Abbey on the 13th and 14th of July with three performances each day.

Rehearsals start in April. The show combines drama, comedy and poignancy.

We are now holding auditions for performers at the Abbey. These take place from 7pm until 9pm on Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th of March.

We are looking for nine actors across a mix of male and female roles. Some stage experience is an advantage.
